Carol Hank Hoffmann ’78

Carol Hank Hoffmann is a 1978 graduate of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.  Her technical and managerial career spanned ten years in research and development, four years with DuPont in Troy, Michigan, and six years with Pillsbury in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Carol currently serves as a member of the Notre Dame Board of Trustees, a position to which she was elected in 2002.  Prior to that time, she served on the Engineering Advisory Council for nine years.  Her father, the late Bernard (Jerry) Hank, Jr., was an alumnus, benefactor, and Trustee, and member of the Board of Fellows of the University of Notre Dame, and her mother is a member of the Advisory Council for Notre Dame’s Snite Museum of Art.

Carol and her husband, Bill, reside in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and have three children:  Thomas (ND ’07 BA), Michael (ND  ’10 BBA, ‘11 MS ACC) married to Alexandra Kelly (ND ’10 BBA, ‘11 MS ACC), and Emily (ND-’14 BFA).
