Cathleen Black

Cathleen Black currently serves as a director of PubMatic. Cathie started her career in 1966 as an advertisement sales representative at Holiday Magazine and served there until 1969. She also held advertising and publishing positions at numerous media companies, including Travel & Leisure, New York Magazine, and Ms. Magazine. Cathie was president of USA Today in 1983 and served as publisher from 1984 to 1991. She served as president and CEO of the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) from 1991 to 1995, joined Hearst Magazines in 1995 and served as president from 1996 to 2010 and as the chairwoman of Hearst Corporation in 2010. In 2010, she was appointed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the chancellor of New York City Schools and served for 95 days. Cathie has also served as a director of IBM and The Coca-Cola Company and has been serving as a senior advisor of venture capital firm RRE Ventures since 2011. She is Trustee Emeritus of the University of Notre Dame.
