Jean Collier ’83

Jean T. Collier is the Senior Corporate Advisor-Corporate & Foundation Relations, Office of Development, University of Notre Dame. In this role, she shapes relationships with a core group of firms including General Electric, Deloitte, KPMG, and other key partners of Notre Dame.

A 1983 graduate of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in accountancy, she earned a master of business administration degree in finance from New York University in 1991. She worked as a public accountant for Peat Marwick for two years before joining GE Capital in 1985 as an auditor in the Corporate Finance Group. She also has held positions in various GE units as a senior account executive, vice president-RTC compliance coordinator, manager of training and communications, manager for executive education, leader of US Education Initiatives at the GE Foundation, and the Executive Director of GE Volunteers, a network of 100,000+ GE employees/retirees.

Jean’s Notre Dame service has included leadership roles as President of the Alumni Association, former Trustee, and member of the $2BN Spirit Campaign Cabinet and professionally with Development since 2008. She has a unique set of qualifications that combine deep understanding of corporate structure and decision making combined with keen insights of how corporations operate.
