Julie Powers Killian ’82

Julie Powers Killian resides in Rye, NY with her husband Gary Killian and 5 children: Alexandra, Connor, Tucker (ND’18), Macguire and Shane, ages 24 to 17. She graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering from Notre Dame in 1982 and has an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School. After working on Wall Street for 14 years, Julie retired to raise their children and do volunteer work with numerous local organizations. She is a former Board member of Part of the Solution (POTS) a soup kitchen and social services agency in the Bronx and School of the Holy Child, Rye, NY. She runs a Red Sox fan club in New York affectionately called the BLOHARDS, the Benevolent Loyal Order of the Honorable Ancient Red Sox Diehard Sufferers of NY.  She is the founder of RyeACT, Rye Action for Children and Teens, which helps her community deal with substance abuse issues. She currently serves on the Board of the Kroc Institute of Peace at the University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs. She been a Rye City Councilwomen for 4 years and is Deputy Mayor and currently running for NYS Senate in lower Westchester NY.  She is passionate about her family, public service, fighting to help those in need and Notre Dame.  Go Fighting Irish!
