Katie Woodward Olsen ’10, ’14 J.D.

Katie Woodward Olsen received her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in Political Science with a minor in the Hesburgh Program in Public Service in 2010.  She was a Glynn Family Honors Program Scholar, a resident of Pangborn Hall, a first alto in the ND Chorale, and president of the Women in Politics Club on campus.  During her time as an undergraduate, she also participated in the Notre Dame Washington, D.C. semester and interned for then-Senator Barack Obama.  After a year as a paralegal at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office in New York City following graduation, she returned to Notre Dame for law school and graduated with her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2014.  While in law school, she served as Articles Editor for the Notre Dame Law Review, wrote an article on land use policy that was published by the Law Review, and was vice president of the Women’s Legal Forum.  She practiced in commercial real estate transactions with a large firm in Chicago following graduation, was married at Notre Dame in May 2015 to a fellow 2010 alum, and currently works with Culinary Care, a non-profit that delivers free meals from Chicago restaurants to cancer patients in treatment at area hospitals.
