Mary Beth Klein ’78

Beth Klein, President, IBA Proton Inc., is a tenured healthcare executive responsible for leading IBA’s Proton Therapy business in North America. She is passionately committed to growing Proton Therapy as an important tool in delivering more effective cancer treatments for patients.

Before joining IBA in 2009, Beth spent 27 years at GE Healthcare in sales management, marketing and product development in CT, MR, Ultrasound and NM/PET, where she led GE’s unprecedented growth in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT as the global general manager for that business. Beth completed her tenure at GE Healthcare as a Company Officer and was the President and CEO of the Americas; a $3B business with 1500 employees.  She was also the Global Commercial executive at TomoTherapy responsible for its steep orders ramp in 2005-2007 and played a key role in its public offering.

Beth holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame,’78 and a Master’s in Business Administration and Management from Northeastern University. She is proficient in German and French and has played leading roles in global Women’s Initiatives, with a focus on Women in Technology. Beth is an avid tennis player, hiker, and global adventurer, interests that she shares with her son Jake, a current student a Notre Dame.
