Molly Murtagh Meyers ’78, ’80 MBA

Molly Murtagh Meyers has been passionate about the University of Notre Dame for as long as she can remember.  Having a father who graduated from there in 1949, she was proud to be a member of one of the first coed graduating classes.  Earning a BA in 1978 and a MBA in 1980, both from Notre Dame, she then worked for Owens-Illinois in Business Planning, New Product Development and continued to consult for the company in Dusseldorf, Germany where she lived with her husband.  Upon returning to the U.S., she joined Sheller-Globe Corporation as a product manager where she worked until she began her family.  At that point, she decided to be a stay at home mother and raise her four children, three of whom graduated from Notre Dame in 2008, 2010 and 2015.

Mrs. Meyers has been involved in various charitable organizations raising money for the Catholic schools, Diabetes, Parkinson’s and the fine arts. She currently serves on several community boards including the Susan G. Komen of Northwest Ohio, the Promedica Health System Advocacy Board, Kids Unlimited, and the University of Toledo College of Medicine Advisory Board.

Since 1992, she has been a member of the Shakespeare at Notre Dame Board and recently was appointed to the Hesburgh Libraries Advisory Board and the Women’s Initiative Steering Committee at Notre Dame.

Her husband Geoffrey is a former CFO of HCR ManorCare and currently serves as chairman of the institutional pharmacy company, Pharmerica.  He also is a board member of the hospital company, HCA; the healthcare REIT, Welltower; and The Trust Company of Toledo.  Molly and Geoffrey reside in Toledo, Ohio and Naples, Florida.
